Summary
Beginning is the winter of 2018, we started discussions with the CISS to help finance and build more studio apartments for the homeless in Des Moines. After many meetings and strong leadership from their board, CISS hired HDG to pull the project together. In September of 2019, the Iowa Finance awarded CISS a $2.7 million grant as the foundation for the construction of 24 new studio apartments located at 1420 Walnut Street in Des Moines. The addition to the existing facility will allow CISS to expand their campus to include more housing and supportive services. The housing will be completed by September 2021.
